In light of today’s ongoing debate on the efficacy of No Child Left Behind’s emphasis on test scores vs. other forms of academic achievement, it is important to understand what educational environments kids flourish in and why. An important sub-debate among the larger points is whether or not the No Child Left Behind legislation is reducing creative thinking in America’s youth. This is an incredibly important point, given that the nation’s economic future is contingent upon innovative ideas.
